Privacy Policy

The short version: Stack the Cats collects as little data as we can get away with. The longer version follows, because lawyers exist.
Stack the Cats is operated by Ghumdul Limited, a limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17408766), which is the data controller for the information described below.
1. Data Stored on Your Device
Your game progress — high scores, unlocked cats, coins, settings — is stored locally on your device. It never leaves your device unless you choose to share a score (see below). Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes it permanently; we can't restore it, because we never had it.
2. Leaderboard Submissions
If you choose to share a score, we store:
- The nickname you enter (publicly visible on the leaderboard)
- Your score, tower height, and cat count (publicly visible)
- A one-way hash of your IP address, used only to prevent spam and abuse. We do not store your raw IP address, and the hash cannot be used to identify or locate you.
Sharing a score is always optional.
3. This Website
This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party embeds. Standard web-server logs (which may include IP addresses) are kept by our hosting provider for operational and security purposes only.
4. Third-Party Services
If you download the game or make a purchase through an app store (such as Google Play or the Microsoft Store), that store processes your transaction under its own privacy policy. We don't see your payment details.
5. Children
Stack the Cats is designed to be family-friendly and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only optional submission is a leaderboard nickname — we encourage parents to help kids pick something fun rather than their real name. In-app purchases are protected by a grown-ups-only hold-to-confirm gate.
6. Data Retention & Removal
Leaderboard entries are kept while the leaderboard runs. If you'd like a nickname or score removed, contact us and we'll take care of it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date shows the current version, and continued use means you accept it.
